SHIPPING INFORMATION

Prohibited & Restricted Items from All Origin Ports, with Import Licensing Requirements

The following items will NOT be accepted for carriage by iShop. This list includes items which are prohibited for carriage by any law, regulation, or statute of any federal, state or local government of any country from, to, or through which the items may be carried.

Note: For international carriage there may be additional prohibited items specified by the country of destination. Please also note that these lists are subject to change due to IATA and airline regulations.

 

Items Prohibited for Shipping

  • Antiques, works of art and fine art with an individual value in excess of £5,000
  • Bullion
  • Clinical and / or Biological samples (including but not limited to bodily fluids and tissue samples)
  • Complete original and imitation Firearms and Firearm Parts (includes rifle butts, trigger mechanisms, screws / bolts etc which are manufactured for the sole purpose of creating a functional firearm), ammunition, explosives and explosive devices
  • Dangerous and Hazardous goods including but not limited to Flammable Substances, Dry Ice, Biological Substances, UN Classified dangerous goods and any goods specified as such under International Air Transport Association regulations (“IATA”), the Agreement on Dangerous Goods by Road (“ADR”) or International Maritime Dangerous Goods (“IMDG”) regulations
  • Air-conditioning Units, Freezers, Refrigerators (anything that contains refrigerant gas) subject to IATA regulations
  • Furs
  • Human Remains or Ashes
  • Illegal goods and Ivory
  • Lithium batteries and chargers – both ION and Metal (unless within a product, and then must be shipped via our dangerous goods courier
  • Powerbanks)
  • Broken or damaged mobile phones, as this is against IATA Regulations
  • Live animals (including but not limited to mammals, reptiles, fish, invertebrates, amphibians, birds, insects, larvae, and pupae), animal parts, livestock and insects
  • Loose Precious and Semi-Precious Stones (cut or uncut, polished or un-polished)
  • Pornography (whether in printed, film or digital format)
  • Sex toys
  • Tobacco, loose leaf tobacco products and pre-rolled cigarettes
  • Firecrackers and any items containing explosives
  • Guns, gun accessories, gun toys etc
  • This can include items that are country-specific (e.g. the importation of alcohol) and commodities considered to be illegal internationally, such as Counterfeit Goods, Ivory and Narcotics
  • Any VIVO mobile phones

 

iShop may at its sole discretion refuse to carry other items not listed above.

 

The following items MAY be accepted for carriage by iShop, as long as all legal requirements are met.  All items will be checked and sent in accordance with IATA regulations and are subject to change. These items require specific permits, licenses or have additional restrictions and costs to cover required packaging and handling.

Items Restricted for Shipping

  • Automotive engines, and any other engine that runs off petrol, can be sent however they require a PURGE certificate to ship
  • Medications – All medications require a personal import permit.
  • Seeds- all seeds and selected plants will require a personal import permit from the Zambian Agriculture Research Institute. Please seek guidance from the Ministry of Agriculture on which plants are allowed in the country before you order
  • Dangerous and Hazardous goods including but not limited to Aerosols, Flammable Substances such as alcohol, nail varnish, perfumes and aftershaves – any such items will be checked and sent in accordance with IATA regulations and are subject to additional charges
  • Drones- all drones will require a personal import permit from the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority
  • Any other item classified as dangerous goods which may require additional packaging and handling fees
  • Television – please note that we do not accept responsibility for damage to televisions shipped with iShop. There will also be additional costs to all televisions shipped with iShop, as all televisions must be crated and will be charged on the volumetric weight

If we receive a Prohibited item for your account…

Any of the above listed items which we receive on your behalf, can be returned to sender for an additional administration fee plus the postal costs for the return.

We will contact you if we receive items that cannot be sent, to ask you what you would like us to do with it. If we do not receive a response within 14 days, we will dispose of the items.
